The responsibility of Ministry of Trade is to promote and develop trade activities and public services, with an emphasis on generating sustainable export growth and development. In this regard, the ministry is working to formulate more appropriate trade policies and strategies.

Baghdad International Fair (BIF) - State Company for Iraqi Fairs is part of Iraqi Ministry of Trade, was founded in 1952. Since that time, the fair has been a host of millions of people interested in building new business relationships and strengthen existing ones. It is located in the center of Baghdad and is about 350,000 sq meters in size. It has been used to accommodate the annual Baghdad International Fair for about the last 30 years, during which more than 70 countries and more than 30000 exhibitors had participated in displaying their products and services.
